Alpine Backcountry Rental is operated by Alpine Backcountry Guides Kabushiki Kaisha ("ABG", "we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect through this website and our rental booking process, how we use it, and how we protect it.

Contact details — the name, phone/WhatsApp number, and home address of the rental organiser, when you make an enquiry or complete a rental booking.
Participant fitting and equipment information — for each person included in a rental booking, we collect age, weight, height, boot size, skiing/riding ability level, preferred DIN setting, preferred ski or board length, and the specific equipment requested (skis, boots, avalanche safety equipment, and other gear). We collect this information solely to select and fit equipment appropriately and safely for each person.
Payment information — payment details provided to complete a rental booking, taken in-store via our Square payment terminal, or in advance through Square, WeTravel, or direct bank transfer. Card details are handled by Square or WeTravel and are not stored by us directly.
Rental and Liability Release Agreement — if you rent equipment from us, you will be asked to sign a separate Rental and Liability Release Agreement, which is a distinct legal document from this privacy policy.

How We Use Your Information
We only use your personal information for the purpose for which it was supplied, including to:
Respond to your enquiries and process your rental booking
Select, fit, and prepare the correct equipment for each participant based on their physical details and ability level

We do not share, sell, or trade any of the information collected via this website or booking forms, including names, contact details, home addresses, or fitting information, with any other companies or organisations, except where necessary to fulfil your rental booking.
Retention of Information
We retain rental booking and agreement information for as long as reasonably necessary to meet our legal, insurance, and equipment liability record-keeping obligations, including any period necessary to resolve a claim relating to equipment loss, damage, or an incident involving rented equipment.
Your Choices
You may opt out of receiving marketing information from us at any time, and you may request that we remove your contact information from our databases, subject to any records we are required to retain for legal or insurance purposes.
